Volkswagen ID.3 sales start on June 17May 6, 2020
Jürgen Stackmann tweeted a new statement that makes the launch of the Volkswagen ID.3 much more feasible.
On his own channel, a member of the Volkswagen sales, marketing and after-sales service board of directors shares information that from June 17, the first ID.3 customers can express their wishes as part of a pre-order, then the books of the final order will open. This applies to left-hand drive countries. The rest have to wait another four weeks. According to the head, dealers will quickly contact customers who will be entitled to a final order.
Shtakmann concludes the tweet with words of gratitude for patience, reports autoweek.nl. Buyers definitely had to pay for it, because the first applications were signed a year ago, when ID.3 was still hiding behind camouflage. Officially, ID.3 was introduced in September.
Since then, there have been many rumors around the model about the production of the Volkswagen electric car, which was delayed due to software problems. Moreover, several thousand ID.3s already issued will not be allowed to be sold until they are restored to the model. It remains open to question when the cars will actually be handed over to their new owners.
