
Volkswagen ID.3 EV electric car debuts at Frankfurt Motor Show

Volkswagen has officially confirmed that at the brand’s booth in Frankfurt it will be possible to see the new Volkswagen ID.3 electric hatchback, which is based on the modern MEB modular platform. On a single charge, the new German electric car will be able to cover a distance of 350 to 550 kilometers, and its price tag belongs to the “budget” segment. So, in Europe, an environmentally friendly novelty can be purchased at the price of a diesel VW Golf – no more than 30 thousand euros for the basic package
It is known that buyers will be offered ID.3 with three different battery options. The basic battery with a capacity of 45 kWh allows you to drive 330 km without recharging. With a 77 kWh battery, mileage on a single charge grows to 550 kilometers. A medium-capacity battery of 58 kWh guarantees a mileage of 420 km.
The company gives a guarantee for its batteries – eight years or 160,000 kilometers. Batteries power the rear electric motor. Its power reaches a mark of 204 hp. The novelty will appear on the conveyor at the end of this year, and the first salable cars will go to dealers of the brand in mid-2020.
