Volkswagen ID.3 debuts this summerApril 22, 2020
Despite the lack of desired software, Volkswagen ID.3 will be delivered to its first owners this summer.
According to Volkswagen, “ID.3 will be released this summer,” and then updates will follow. According to the German manufacturer, any problems with the software do not really “put an end to” on further work.
Volkswagen ID.3 will become the car with which Volkswagen plans to establish itself in the electric car market as a serious player. ID.3, which was designed from the ground up as an all-electric car, is expected to storm the market from the very beginning with huge sales, but its release time has been in jeopardy several times.
Late last and early this year, there were rumors that serious software problems had jeopardized the implementation of ID.3, and that dealership parking spaces would be completely filled with the first problem production series. Due to a possible delay in ID.3, the manufacturer decided not to complete the e-Golf production yet.
According to Automotive News, Volkswagen still sees everything in a different light, and it seems that the manufacturer has everything under control. According to a Volkswagen spokesman, ID.3 will be released next summer as planned. Early owners may expect several software updates.
“Cars will get the latest software before they are delivered in the summer. After entering the market, digital features will be regularly updated in the coming months, ”Volkswagen said.
