Volkswagen ID.3 announced for summer launch is under threatFebruary 26, 2020
Volkswagen ID.3 should become the real flagship of the German automaker in terms of electrification. The release of this first model from the environmentally friendly ID series was originally slated for the summer. Recently, however, alarming rumors have begun to come from Germany.
Volkswagen ID.3 is going to conquer the car market with a decent power reserve, which varies from 330 to 550 kilometers, and a very attractive price tag. The price list for the new product is reported to be comparable with the prices of similar cars with traditional ICEs. Thanks to this, the automaker expects that his electric car will become a truly mass model. Whether the Germans will be able to bring this idea to life will become clear next summer. However, judging by the latest information, serious software problems can disrupt previously planned plans.
Currently, about 10 thousand specialists are working on its elimination.
A month earlier, importers were still little worried about this, hoping for a quick solution to the problem. Now it is becoming apparent that the delay in production of ID.3 is more real than previously thought. Experts also do not give a 100% guarantee that the problem with the software can be eliminated by the summer. The estimated delay, according to insiders, may stretch for a year.
