Volkswagen has started the final tests of the new compact crossoverMay 30, 2018
A compact crossover will be built on the base of Polo of the new generation and will be presented at the motor show in Paris in October
The company Volkswagen will test the test of its new compact crossover, which will go on sale under the name T-Cross. On spy photos, which were laid out by the publication Motor1, the test prototype is presented in minimal camouflage. The premiere of the novelty is to be held at the motor show in Paris in October.
The crossover will be built on the basis of the new generation Polo. The size of the wheelbase of the car will be 2560 millimeters. The design of the new items will resemble the Polo and the large T-Roc crossover. In particular, the all-terrain Polo will receive a similar hexagonal radiator grille, passing into the headlights of the head light, and protruding wheel arches.
According to unofficial data, the range of units will include three- and four-cylinder petrol and diesel inflatable engines. The crossover will be offered with a front-wheel drive, but it is possible that top modifications will be available with four driving wheels. It is not excluded and the appearance in the future of a fully electric modification of the car.
Sales of cars in Europe should begin before the end of this year. The novelty will compete with Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur and Opel Mokka. The car will be assembled at a factory in Spain.
