Volkswagen has prepared three varieties of Atlas off-roadNovember 5, 2019
Volkswagen showed three special versions of the Atlas off-road vehicle, focused on outdoor activities. All prototypes are combined with increased ground clearance, additional lighting, the presence of a power roof rack and “toothy” tires.
The most striking version of the improvements was called Adventure. The California specialists at Volkswagen were engaged in the version: the SUV was equipped with an adjustable H&R screw suspension, LED beam blocks on the roof and front bumper, Yokohama mud tires, a roof tent, a trunk with an integrated awning. In addition, the car was added a unique color and a drone with an action video camera.
The Basecamp version features 38 mm increased ground clearance, a roof rack for bicycles on the roof, gray-orange color, 265/70 R17 high-profile tires, two LED beams and body protection.
The third prototype, built with Thule engineers, received a power trunk with a cloth tent, a tow hitch, black accents on the body, “raised” H&R springs, 20-inch Vossen wheels and Baja Design fog lights. Thule designers position their concept as an all-terrain vehicle for all occasions.
All Atlas prototypes will be shown on Tuesday, November 5, at the Volkswagen booth of the SEMA exhibition in Las Vegas. A special event for automakers will last until November 8th.
