Volkswagen has confirmed its intention to release an electric wagon in 2021November 7, 2019
ID Space Vizzion is the latest addition to Volkswagen’s future electric lineup. The press service of the concern decided to make an announcement before the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
After a well-known scandal with silencing the level of exhaust of diesel cars, the German concern was converted to electric cars. In the next few years, many cars with an electric power plant in a single ID line will enter the market. And now it’s about the last update of the lineup. An all-electric station wagon ID Space Vizzion is getting ready.
The car will be built on the basis of the expanded MEB Volkswagen Group platform. It is already known for sure that the station wagon will be sold in the North American, European and Chinese markets. It is assumed that the car will be able to drive more than 500 km on a full battery charge. The company itself described the new product as:
“Tomorrow’s wagon that combines the aerodynamic performance of the Gran Turismo with the capacity of an SUV.”
The public debut will take place as part of a special event at the Petersen Automobile Museum in Los Angeles, USA, November 19. Visitors will be invited to explore the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion in depth. At the event, VW will showcase four more MEB-based concepts: the ID Crozz and ID Roomzz SUVs, the ID Buzz Cargo van and the ID Buggy SUV.
Meanwhile, a dispute over the territory between Vietnam and China turned into a fine for Volkswagen. The reason was the map in the navigation system, incorrectly showing disputed territories.
