Volkswagen, under a subsidiary of Jetta, is launching its cheapest VA3 sedan. In fact, the model is a converted and cheaper VW Polo, built on a similar platform PQ25. Production is established in China with local partners. The design of the model is different from the donor, but the dimensions correspond to: length – 4,501 mm, width – 1,704 mm, height – 1,469 mm, the distance between the axles – 2,604 mm.
The interior design is very similar to the donor, but the front and rear of the exterior are changed. Jetta VA3 will be offered in four different trim levels, and already in the base it will be offered with LED DRL, 14-inch wheels, ABS, two airbags, air conditioning, radio and an assistant to start the movement on the rise.
As a power unit they will offer a non-alternative 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 112 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. Paired with it can be installed “mechanics” in five steps or “automatic” in six steps.
Sales will begin before the end of this year, but only in China.
