Volkswagen first showed a new crossover T-CrossJuly 3, 2018
The company Volkswagen has published the first official design sketch of the new compact serial crossover T-Cross. The premiere of the car will take place in autumn 2018.
Apparently, the crossover uses a number of stylistic solutions of the same-name concept car, presented in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. The length of the car will be 4 107 mm. Thus, the novelty will take place on the step below the model T-Roc.
The basis of the Volkswagen T-Cross will be the modular architecture of the MQB A0, on which the crossover Seat Arona is built. The line of engines of the latter includes three-cylinder supercharged motors with a working volume of one liter with a capacity of 95 and 110 hp. Transmission – a six-speed manual or automatic with two clutches. In addition, a 150-horsepower 1.5-liter turbo four will be available, and two 1.6-liter diesel engines, delivering 95 and 115 hp.
The standard equipment of the new items will include a system to prevent frontal collisions, and a function of observing the number of movements.
The novelty will compete with Peugeot 2008, Renault Captur and Opel Mokka. In Volkswagen noted that the crossover will be focused, primarily on the Chinese and South American markets.
