Volkswagen confirmed the release of T-Cross in 2018January 5, 2018
The current year also plans the release of models Jetta and Touareg.
In 2018 the German concern plans to release its smallest crossover, by the way, “live” cars will reach dealers also before the end of this year. The manufacturer officially confirmed the information in a new video clip dedicated to important events for the brand for the next 12 months.
The video does not say anything about where and when the Volkswagen T-Cross will be introduced, but according to rumors on the web, the model will premiere at the beginning of the year, possibly in the spring at the Geneva Motor Show. The new cross is built on the basis of the concept T-Cross Breeze 2016.
Unlike the concept, the production model will not have a soft roof, and its design will be made in the style of the current Volkswagen models. The crossover is built on a short version of the MQB platform like the Polo. It is expected that the car will be available to customers in a two-color painting scheme of the body.
At the end of last year it became known that Volkswagen Touareg next generation will also be introduced in 2018, however, the manufacturer does not disclose the details. It is assumed that the premiere of the SUV will be held at the Beijing Motor Show.
