Fans of the German automaker, who love to travel with family or friends, will be able to purchase the novelty at the end of October.
Volkswagen has unveiled the new VW California 6.1 Beach van with a starting price tag of £ 52,062. The car can be purchased in two versions – Camper and Tour, and the first deliveries are scheduled for March 2021. The main feature of such a van is a hydraulic lifting roof, which can be operated manually.
Also, the novelty got 17-inch alloy wheels, a radio so as not to get bored on the road, and a camping table with a pair of folding chairs. Such a car is driven by a two-liter diesel engine producing 150 horsepower and combined with a 7-speed gearbox.
In the “base” California Beach 6.1 performed by the Tour receives five seats, while, if desired, the number of seats can be increased to six or seven. Standard factory vans cannot boast of such spaciousness.
For convenience, sliding doors on both sides are also responsible.
Buyers of the Camper version can look forward to a van with four seats by default. Also, the manufacturer has provided for the possibility of installing one additional seat.
