Volkswagen Arteon again seen in the back of the Shooting BrakeMarch 7, 2020
Volkswagen will expand its lineup in the short term with a new car, which it adds to the Arteon family.
In August last year, Volkswagen news released great news. The German manufacturer announced the arrival of a new model, which she described as a Shooting Brake. At that time, we suspected that it would be a more practical version of Arteon, and these suspicions were not confirmed much later than the first photos of this “Arteon Shooting Brake” appeared on the Internet.
Fresh spy photos of the Volkswagen novice can now be seen with almost no masking stickers. With a minimal amount of camouflage at the front and rear end and fake edging of windows masking the sloping silhouette, the Arteon prototype with a long roof aims to become one of the most elegant station wagons in the medium-sized segment.
It is expected that the new car will receive a motor range that matches the palette of a regular Arteon, and this means that this version of the body will also be available with 2.0 TSI 190 hp. and 2.0 TDI, which mobilize the same amount of horsepower. It is not yet clear whether a version with a 2.0 TSI engine of 272 hp will be available. in combination with the 4Motion drive, with which the usual Arteon was initially available, but was later excluded from the price list.
The Arteon Shooting Brake, whose official name is still unknown, should in fact be seen as an Arteon variant with a relatively “early roof line” for the station wagon. We can learn more about the new Arteon family member at the IAA this year in Munich.
