Volkswagen Announces New Generation TouaregFebruary 10, 2018
The company Volkswagen published the first design sketch of the large SUV Volkswagen Touareg third generation. The premiere of the model will be held on April 23 at the Beijing Auto Show.
Appearance Tuareg was developed under the supervision of the chief designer of the German brand Klaus Bischoff. The automaker noted that the crossover will receive “expressive design, innovative technologies and excellent handling.”
The appearance of the SUV Volkswagen Touareg will be performed in the style of the five-meter crossover Atlas. In particular, it will acquire a similar chrome-plated radiator grille, connected to the LED headlamps of the head light. The crossover will be available with a fully digital instrument panel and a new multimedia complex with the ability to control gestures.
The new Volkswagen Touareg will be built on the scalable MLB Evo architecture that underlies the Audi Q7, as well as the fastest serial crossovers in the world – Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne.
The line of engines is not yet called. It is assumed that the new crossover will have an R-modification with a 2.5-liter supercharged five-liter unit from Audi, also a hybrid power plant version.
