Volkswagen announced a new large sedanFebruary 19, 2018
The company Volkswagen told about its premiere for the Geneva Motor Show. The motor show will open in early March this year.
At the exhibition, will debut a new, fourth in a row, a representative of the family of concept electric cars I.D. – a large sedan Vizzion. On the eve of the presentation of the novelty, the brand extended its design sketches. The length of the prototype is 5.11 meters, so the concept will be a “classmate” not even VW Passat, but the production four-door sedan VW Phaeton.
External appearance I.D. Vizzion is made in the same style as other models of the family: hatchback I.D., minivan I.D. Buzz and crossover I.D. Crozz. The rear doors of the sedan open against the motion, the saloon is four-seater. By the way, inside the dashboard is installed a “shelf”, controls and multimedia-system are absent. According to the company, I.D. Vizzion is equipped with an autopilot, also in the arsenal of new items there is a virtual assistant with which “passengers interact with the help of voice commands and gestures.” Probably, all information about the car and the surrounding environment is displayed on the glass.
The sedan received two electric motors (one on each of the axles) and a set of lithium-ion batteries. The cumulative output of the unit is 306 hp, the maximum speed is 180 km / h. The power reserve is 665 km, however, this figure is achieved when using the energy recovery system.

Let’s remind, by 2025 the German brand intends to launch more than 20 electric vehicles in production. The “first-born” should be a hatchback with a design based on the concept I.D. – Such an electric car is planned to be put on the conveyor in 2020. Then the SUV and minivan will enter the market. On plans to send a series of flagship sedan in the style of I.D. Vizzion in the company was concealed.
Earlier Volkswagen decided to extend the program, allowing subsidies to customers to exchange old diesel cars for new more environmentally friendly options.
