Volkswagen allocates the production of automotive components in a separate brandJanuary 26, 2019
The new company as part of VAG will be the largest producer of automotive components worldwide. As noted in the company, it will help optimize the work of the entire group.
Concern Volkswagen continues to develop and optimize its work. The production of electric cars also makes its own adjustments to the development of the entire VAG Groupe. As part of the planned development plan for all the companies that make up the concern, it was decided to allocate all the production of automotive components into a separate brand of Volkswagen Group Components.
Currently, the company has 61 factories around the world, providing about 80,000 jobs. According to the representatives of the concern, the new company will become the largest supplier of automotive components in the world. “The new management policy will enable better organization of work within the group, as well as achieving an optimal distribution of load among the enterprises of the concern,” – said Thomas Schmoll, chairman of the board of directors of the Volkswagen Group Components.
In addition to the organizational processes in the new company will begin to develop the production of components for future electric vehicles.
Meanwhile, Volkswagen introduced the long Jetta. The model turned out almost Passat sedan. Dimensions and design are now indistinguishable from an inexperienced look.
