Concern Volkswagen was accused of drought in the Mexican state of Puebla. It is there that one of the largest enterprises of the brand is located, which has been operating in the country since 1967. The plant produces 450 thousand cars a year, and the number of employees reaches 15 thousand people.

According to The Financial Times, before the rainy season the manufacturer installed special guns in the area of the plant, which are dispersed by acoustic waves with clouds, preventing the formation of a degree capable of breaking newly produced cars in the parking lot. According to local farmers, it is because of this equipment that the rains ceased to go not only over the enterprise, but throughout the region.

Farmers argue that more than two thousand hectares of agricultural land has already suffered from the drought, causing damage of 70 million pesos (about 3.2 million euros).

In this regard, farmers filed for Volkswagen in court, demanding compensation for losses. The company promised to dismantle the guns, and to protect the cars to install awnings.

The biggest scandal involving Volkswagen is related to the manipulation of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere for diesel vehicles. Because of him, the manufacturer has already paid several tens of billions of dollars in fines in various countries. And 25 billion company paid only in the US.
