Virtual electric supercar Audi showed on videoApril 4, 2018
The racing car for the Gran Turismo Sport simulator will be equipped with an electric power unit
Audi has published on its Facebook page a teaser video of a new virtual electric supercar, designed for the racing simulator Gran Turismo Sport. The prototype will be presented completely on April 9.
All the details about the car are kept secret. Judging by the hashtags, the novelty will receive the designation Vision GT e-tron. It follows that the race car will be equipped with an electric power unit. In addition, the car will receive a drive for all-wheel drive and a massive rear wing. According to Motor1, the sports car can be built on the basis of R8.
Audi will not be the first automaker to develop a computer supercar for the game Gran Turismo Sport on the PlayStation 4 console. Last year, Honda showed a new virtual supercar Sports Vision.
In addition, the company presented a Peugeot racing car L750 R HYbrid. The car body is made of carbon fiber, thanks to which the mass of the concept is only 825 kilograms. The prototype is equipped with an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. The petrol engine has a capacity of 580 hp and a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm. The motor works in conjunction with a 170-horsepower electric motor. The total output of the L750 R HYbrid is 750 horsepower.
