Vietnamese company VinFast unveils three electric crossoversJanuary 23, 2021
Two of the new VinFast models are for the US market.
VinFast first introduced its own car in 2018, and now, just over two years later, it shows three all-electric crossovers at once: VF31, VF32 and VF33. The first model is a compact crossover with one electric motor producing 114 hp. A car with a 201-horsepower power plant will be available for an additional fee. The battery capacity in both cases will be 42 kW / h, the power reserve on a single charge is not known.
VinFast VF32 is a mid-size crossover with a 201-horsepower electric motor and a 90 kWh battery. The power reserve from one charge is also unknown. The VF33 model is the largest crossover in the new range, which is equipped with two electric motors with a total capacity of 402 hp. and a 106 kWh battery. A car can travel about 480 kilometers from one charge.
All three vehicles are reported to meet the NHTSA’s 5-star safety rating. The two largest models will be brought to the USA – VF32 and VF33. Among other things, crossovers will receive adaptive cruise control, an emergency braking system and a parking assistant. The cost of cars has not yet been announced The new items will go on sale in 2022.
