“Very white” special versions of Subaru WRX debutedNovember 22, 2019
WRX and WRX STI sedans will release a limited edition of White Limited Edition
Subaru has announced the release of all-wheel drive turbo sedans WRX and WRX STI for the US market in a special color Ceramic White. They will feature sports suspension and rich equipment: a leather steering wheel with contrasting stitching, LED optics, Recaro suede chairs, a sunroof and keyless entry system.
In addition to the exclusive body shade, the special Subaru WRX series stands out with 18-inch matte bronze rims. The Bilstein sports suspension and Brembo braking system with four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers are installed on the sedan.
The power of the two-liter boxer “turbo four” is unchanged: the engine produces 268 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. By tradition, the gearbox is only manual.
The list of improvements to the WRX STI is similar: the standard wheels gave way to the forged bronze 19-inch BBS wheels with tenacious Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, the suspension is replaced by the Bilstein STI, and the reinforced steering rack mounts are installed. Brakes are also from Brembo with six-piston calipers branded with the STI lettering.
Under the hood, the Subaru WRX STI White is a standard 2.5-liter distributed-injection turbo engine. The return of the boxer reaches 310 horsepower and 407 Nm of torque. For the top version, a proprietary symmetrical all-wheel drive and an uncontested six-speed manual gearbox are laid.
The price of the “very white” Subaru WRX starts at $ 34,895, the STI modification is more expensive: from $ 43,595. In total, 500 copies of each model will be sold. The first customers will receive cars in the first quarter of 2020.
