Very soon the first Chevrolet electric car will be presentedNovember 5, 2019
The car, called Menlo, will be the first fully electric in the model range of the brand.
The American auto giant Chevrolet is preparing to release the first all-electric Menlo car, which will debut on November 8. The basis was the concept of FNR-X. The published pictures show that the car turned out to be very stylish and modern due to the use of a sports spoiler, as well as due to the taillights, which reached the production version of the concept. An interesting solution looks with a black stripe between the headlights, emphasizing the logo of the brand. The radiator grille of the novelty will be completely closed – this solution goes well with narrow headlights. They decided to add plastic sills to the car, as crossovers and SUVs are very popular now.
All technical details will be known in three days. But according to unofficial data, Menlo will borrow the powertrain from Buick Velite 6 EV.
If this is confirmed, then the electric motor power will be 148 hp with a torque of 350 Nm. The motor will be operated by a 35 kW / h battery, which provides a range of 301 km without additional charge. To increase the power reserve, a more powerful battery, which Buick introduced about a month ago, can be used. In this case, it will be possible to drive already 410 km.
In the meantime, an electric Mercedes EQS was seen in test trials. The prototype is hidden by a serious layer of camouflage, so it has not yet been possible to consider the model in detail.
