Updated Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ will be more technologicalAugust 27, 2020
These two vehicles are based on a single platform. An update is coming soon.
Toyota and Subaru are planning to introduce the updated Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ vehicles soon. Experts told how the new versions can be better than their predecessors. The main innovation will be a more powerful power plant – instead of a 2.0-liter engine, there will be a 2.4-liter turbo engine capable of producing 260 hp.
It is possible that another version of the power plant will appear, which will become the base – we are talking about a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine that can produce 217 hp. Also, cars will acquire more modern and bright optics and smoother lines in the exterior. According to preliminary data, there will no longer be modifications with manual transmission on sale, and only automatic transmission will be available to buyers.
The official debut of new products should take place after the cessation of sales of the current versions of the Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86.
Meanwhile, it became known about the upcoming change of generations of the large Toyota Tundra pickup – the car should debut in 2021. A global update of this car is already overdue, since the current version was introduced in 2006 and has not changed globally since then.
