Updated Suzuki Swift Sport will receive a hybrid engineMarch 21, 2020
Representatives of the company said that despite a decrease in capacity, efficiency will remain the same. And car handling will reach a new level.
Japanese automaker Suzuki launches production of an updated version of the Swift Sport car. The main novelty will be a hybrid version. It is based on a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine and is complemented by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and an integrated starter generator. Japanese motorists took the development of the power plant very seriously – the novelty received an improved variable valve timing system, a new high-pressure fuel pump, an updated radiator, as well as an upgraded exhaust system.
All this made the car more technological and comfortable to drive. If we talk about power, the new Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid is capable of delivering 127 horsepower at 235 Nm of torque. Of these, 13 hp accounts for the electrical component.
The total capacity has become less than the previous version, however, the dynamics remained at the same level, and fuel consumption decreased significantly.
The novelty is capable of gaining the first 100 kph in 9.1 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 210 km / h. The new Suzuki Swift Sport has received a number of electronic assistants to help the driver – among them are blind spot control, traffic sign recognition and lane control.
