Updated Mini Countryman swept up at the NurburgringMay 13, 2020
The car was masked with a small layer of camouflage – only differences from the current version were hidden from prying eyes. However, even so, they managed to consider something.
The British premium brand Mini is preparing to release a restyled version of the Countryman model. The car is positioned as a model in 2021. On Wednesday, May 13, spy photos of the updated car appeared on the Web. Most of the body is already free from camouflage – only the front and rear parts, as well as a small part of the front wings, remain hidden. In general, the crossover retained the familiar silhouette and most of the elements.
Of the differences, we highlight the new headlight design with square accents. It seems that the radiator grill has received small changes, but it is rather difficult to consider it. The back is all the more clear – the lights are made in the style of the latest models of the brand.
Major upgrades will occur in the cabin and in technical terms. It is already known that the new Countryman will receive a virtual instrument panel and a more modern multimedia complex.
The gearshift lever will also change, which will become more compact. The update will occur in the engine range – the car will receive a new 2.0-liter turbo engine with a return of 192 hp. at 280 Nm. Other available engines will be a 1.5-liter power unit with 136 hp, as well as a 190-horsepower four-cylinder engine. The new product will be officially launched this year, and its active sales will start in 2021.
