Updated Mercedes C-Class sedan and station wagon spotted on videoSeptember 20, 2020
A video appeared on the foreign YouTube channel showing test prototypes of the updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan and station wagon. The debut of the novelty can be expected in 2021.
Recently, Mercedes-Benz has been testing the new C-Class more and more often, and here and there prototypes of new items appear, and with enviable constancy. The most recent testing was captured by the team from the walkoARTvideos YouTube channel – the corresponding video was published a couple of minutes ago. The compact luxury car has been spotted on public roads in Germany.
Interestingly, in the video above, not only the sedan of the new C-Class was seen – the engineers of the German brand also tested the Estate version.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan will receive the W203 in-plant index, and for the station wagon this index will be S203.
Ola Källenius, chairman of the board of Daimler (Mercedes-Benz is part of the group), recently hinted that the updated C-Class will be in many ways similar to the more luxurious S-Class. This confirms previous observations in which the refreshed C-Class had multiple screens in the cabin. It should be noted that the new S-Class is distinguished by an abundance of high technologies – in particular, a multitude of screens in the cabin.
The new C-Class is also expected to be powered by a mild hybrid powertrain. As for the C-Class Estate station wagons, this version of the novelty will not be available in many car markets, as Mercedes is cutting its lineup in order to reduce costs.
More details on the upcoming C-Class will be revealed in the coming weeks and months as we approach its debut date, which will likely take place in 2021.
