Updated Mercedes-Benz GLA will be shown on December 11November 25, 2019
Mercedes-Benz GLA 2020 model year will be shorter than its predecessor, but inside the car will be more spacious.
Mercedes-Benz is preparing a very large premiere. On December 11, as part of an online presentation, Mercedes will present the second-generation compact SUV – the GLA.
The smallest crossover of the brand will be shown on the teaser image and several more photos of the prototype completely hidden behind camouflage. Although the images of the test car are far from new, as they were previously presented on the Internet.
To begin with, the crossover height has become more than 10 centimeters in comparison with the previous variation, whose height is only 1,494 millimeters. The current GLA for its “short stature” was called by some a hatchback, not a compact crossover, but with the new model this problem will go away, because the model will get the ground clearance characteristic of an SUV.
Another advantage of the car is the space inside. Despite the fact that the restyled crossover will be 15 mm shorter than the previous car, the legroom at the rear will be more convenient due to the slightly stretched wheelbase.
Mercedes-Benz assures that the restyled GLA will be equipped with safety and assistance systems, for example, pedestrian warning, cornering and lane departure warning, as well as brake assist systems with a warning function for approaching vehicles or cyclists.
