Updated Mercedes-AMG GT will add in powerJanuary 6, 2018
Mercedes-AMG GT expects easy facelift this year. The latest versions of the GT R and GT C models in the open and closed bodies were presented quite recently – at the end of 2016.
At the end of 2017, test specimens of the Mercedes-AMG GT 2018 model year were photographed on the legendary Nürburgring track. According to the latest information, all versions of the coupe and cabriolet of this model will receive a slight increase in power.
At the heart of all the modifications of the Mercedes-AMG GT is a 4.0-liter V8 engine with a twin turbocharger and a dry crankcase. This unit is now used in all charged versions of Mercedes-Benz models.
The standard version of the Mercedes-AMG GT has a capacity of 469 horsepower. This is quite small for such a motor, since its modification with a wet crankcase in the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S produces 603 horsepower. The Germans have much to increase the power of AMG GT.
It is expected that after the upgrade, the coupe and convertible in the basic version will receive a power of 500 hp, and the modifications of S and C are 515 and 549 hp respectively. For the AMG GT R version, a V8 motor with a wet sump will most likely be installed, and its power will increase from 577 to 600 or more horsepower.
