Updated Mercedes-AMG E63 spotted at the NurburgringNovember 13, 2019
Mercedes-Benz engineers are working hard to create an updated sedan and station wagon E63.
The new Mercedes-AMG E63 was spotted by photo spies on the legendary Nurburgring tracks. Moreover, two prototypes were immediately tested: a sedan and a station wagon in the back. Both vehicles have camouflage. These cars do not yet have a Panamericana grille with vertical bars, but this element should be on the production model. New headlights have sharper edges than on a current car.
Behind changes it is more difficult to see – new taillights, dual trapezoidal exhaust pipes. There are no interior photos yet, but the E-Class should get an updated infotainment system that will better match the look of the latest Mercedes models.
The revised E63 should retain the Mercedes-AMG 4.0-liter Twin-Turbo V8. Currently, the power of the aggregate is 603 horsepower (450 kilowatts), but there is an opportunity to increase returns. In comparison, the Audi RS6 Avant is the main competitor to the E63 station wagon in its high-performance segment, and the latest version of the Four Rings has 591 horsepower (441 kilowatts) from the turbocharged V8 and electric motor.
The updated E63, as well as the rest of the E-Class line, should appear in 2020 and go on sale in at least some markets by the end of this year.
