Updated Mercedes-AMG C63 captured for the first timeOctober 10, 2020
Carscoops has released spy shots of the Mercedes-AMG C63 prototype.
At first glance, the AMG C63 Concept can be confused with the standard C-Class, while the AMG model is indicated by the signature Panamericana grille, wider wheel arches, multiple air intakes at the front, and even more powerful brakes with oversized calipers. Along with this, the concept has two twin tailpipes of the exhaust system, which are inherent in the car of the Mercedes-AMG family.
The C63 should receive the same design as the S-Class and C-Class, as well as similar lighting and an MBUX 2.0 multimedia system. As for the powertrain, it is assumed that the new product will lose the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine due to tightened emission standards.
It is expected that under the hood of the updated model will be located a 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine or a 2.0-liter turbo engine from the A45 S and CLA45 S. At the same time, regardless of the selected unit, an electric superstructure will appear, as a result of which the capacity will reach 500 hp. from. In addition, the introduction of the optional 4Matic AWD all-wheel drive will be an innovation.
The new Mercedes-AMG C63 should be presented in 2021 – 2022 after the premiere of the standard C-Class.
In addition, it was recently noted that the German company Mercedes-Benz admits that it has shown some models in vain. It should be emphasized that this was told by the CEO of the German automaker.
