Sales of the crossover 2018 model year started in the Japanese market.
The world premiere of the restyling SUV Mazda CX-3 took place in late March as part of the New York Motor Show. By the way, for the CX-3 this is the second update, the first was in 2016. Changes have been made to the exterior and interior of the model.
In the process of updating, the radiator grille of the car was slightly reworked, chrome trim of the front bumper was added, the rear lights changed, and the crossover received 18-inch cast wheels of a new design.
Changes in the cabin touched the central tunnel, and the front panel was covered with artificial suede. The hand-held parking brake was replaced with an electric parking brake with an automatic hold function, so the buttons were revised. There are new front seats, for which leather upholstery is available in top designs. Sound insulation is improved.
Now the main change. In addition to the modernized two-liter petrol Quartet SkyActive-G with direct injection of 150 hp. and 201 Nm of torque, available in the American version, too, the “Japanese” got a new diesel. The SkyActiv-D 1.8-liter engine is based on a 1.5-liter engine. True, if the latter was 105 hp and 270 Nm of torque, then with an increase in volume to 1.8 liters, the power increased by 11 hp. and amounted to 116 hp, traction remained the same.
