Updated Lexus RX joins the Black Line seriesAugust 27, 2020
Lexus unveiled the updated ES Black Line last week and has now developed an RX variant with unique styling cues. A total of 1,000 copies of the Lexus RX Black Line will be produced.
Available in Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h variants, the special edition is based on the F Sport trim and features a dark radiator grille surround and black side body graphics. Last but not least, both feature 20-inch wheels with a black finish.
The Lexus RX Black Line features black leather seats with white accents and blue contrast stitching. The interior also features blue stitching and blue piping rugs. The styling changes are relatively minor, but the special edition comes with a unique set from Zero Halliburton. It consists of a 26 “medium luggage suitcase and a 22” bag embossed with the Lexus logo, and “luxurious interior upholstery with a Lexus grille motif.”
The engine lineup remains the same, so the RX 350 has a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 295 hp. and 362 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that can be paired with an optional all-wheel drive system. This allows the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in just 7.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 200 km / h.
Likewise, the RX 450h has a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain that consists of a 3.5-liter V6 engine, a nickel-metal hydride battery and three electric motors. This gives the model a combined power output of 308 hp. and acceleration time to 96 km / h in 7.9 seconds.
The Lexus RX Black Line will be limited to 1,000 units, of which 750 will be with gasoline engines and 250 with hybrid powertrains. Prices start at $ 50,635 for the RX 350 Black Line and $ 51,885 for the RX 450h Black Line.
