Updated Jeep Cherokee received three all-wheel drive systemsMarch 7, 2018
The company Jeep introduced an updated version of the Cherokee SUV for Europe at the Geneva Motor Show. The novelty has received serious changes in the design. So, the model is equipped with new LED optics and other bumpers. Also, the SUV differs from the pre-styling version with updated wheel arches and a modified trunk door.
In the cabin of the car installed a 7-inch TFT-touch screen, another dashboard and new chairs. The driver is available digital radio DAB, Bluetooth and climate control. The luggage compartment volume increased by 30 liters in comparison with the pre-style model.
The car can be purchased from one of three all-wheel drive systems – Jeep Active Drive I, Jeep Active Drive II or Jeep Active Drive Lock. Also the car has received more than 80 systems of active and passive safety.
The updated Cherokee is equipped with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with four cylinders. The unit is equipped with direct injection and a stop-start system (ESS). Engine power is 270 horsepower. Also, customers are still available 3.2-liter engine Pentastar V6 and 2.4-liter unit PZEV Multiair2. All three engines are offered in combination with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Sales of the car in Europe will begin in the second half of this year. The car will be offered in four versions – Sport, Longitude, Limited and Overland.
