It is assumed that the refreshed four-door sedan will hit the market in August. The model changed the exterior design and, perhaps, extended the motor scale.

Pictures of restyled sedans Hyundai Elantra published a portal gepann. Probably, photos were taken in Korea, where the model is called Avante. Four-door sedan received a new radiator grille, headlights and fog lights, other bumpers and lights. Also, the sedan changed the shape of the trunk lid, the rear number moved from it to the bumper. By the way, on the stern there is an inscription Elantra – this means that the frames show the cars that will soon be exported. However, at first the model will appear on the home market – there, according to preliminary data, sales will start already in August. To other countries, the updated Elantra will most likely also reach 2018.

It is expected that in Korea Avante will be offered with a naturally aspirated 1.6 engine of the new Smart Stream family – this engine is also in the range of the Korean version of the Kia K3 sedan of the latest generation (in other markets – Forte or Cerato). In the Kia model, the engine produces 123 hp (154 Nm) and works in conjunction with a variator (the first time for Kia). Due to the distributed injection with two injectors at the intake of each cylinder, it was possible to achieve a reduction in fuel consumption: if the former atmospheric 1.6 GDI (132 hp, 161 Nm) with direct injection consumes 7.3 l / 100 km, the new engine – 6.6 l / 100 km.

In Korea, in addition to the 1.6 GDI, the 1.6 GDI also includes a 1.6 T-GDi (204 hp) petrol turbo four, 1.6 e-VGT (136 hp) and a 120-hp LPi 1.6 engine, working on liquefied gas. All versions are completed with 6-speed manual rtansmission, for the atmospheric and the petrol version there is also a six-speed automatic transmission, for a diesel engine and a turbomotor – a seven-speed robotic transmission with a double clutch. Most likely, these engines will remain in the gamut of the Korean version, but the eight-speed automatic transmission can replace the 6-speed.
