Updated Honda CR-V wins 2020 bestseller titleJanuary 22, 2021
A new version of the popular crossover appeared on the market in 2020, which immediately aroused increased interest among buyers.
The updated crossover Honda CR-V from Japan has become the best-selling foreign car in its class in China. This result was recorded at the end of 2020. According to the portal “New Cars”, in 2020, 230 thousand residents of the Middle Kingdom stopped their choice on this car. The main competitors of the car were two other crossovers from Japan – Nissan X-Trail and Toyota RAV4, which were sold 179 and 175 thousand times, respectively.
Updates for the Honda CR-V turned out to be not very large-scale – they slightly affected the exterior and interior of the car, but they decided not to modify the technical part. Note the appearance of new bumpers, a different design of optics and fog lights and a new filling of the rear lights.
Inside, the new CR-V is equipped with a digital instrument panel and a more modern infotainment complex. Also, Honda uses better materials for finishing and increased the level of noise insulation.
The engine range of a car in the Chinese market consists of a 150-horsepower 2.0-liter “aspirated” and a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a return of 183 hp.
A CVT variator is used as a transmission on an uncontested basis, and an all-wheel drive system can be selected as an option.
Meanwhile, Honda is discontinuing deliveries of the second-generation HR-V crossover. He will be replaced by a successor, but this will happen gradually, and not immediately. The new car will have an electrical component.
