Updated GMC Yukon SUV passes a series of tests

The tests saw a prototype of the updated GMC Yukon SUV. The official presentation of GMC Yukon may take place in early 2020, but the exact timing remains a mystery.

The full-size GMC Yukon SUV is essentially a close relative of the American hefty Chevrolet Suburban / Tahoe and the luxurious Cadillac Escalade. We’ve already seen the new Suburban and Tahoe – Chevrolet introduced completely new versions of the 2021 model year SUVs earlier this week. We know that Cadillac will introduce an updated Escalade in February next year, and we even saw some leaked photos of a luxury SUV. Now we have the opportunity to look at another full-size GMC Yukon SUV – spy photos of the prototype of the new product were at the disposal of our publication a couple of minutes ago.

So, the captured car is still heavily covered with camouflage film, but it is obvious that the main change will be in front of it.

Yukon will use the same styling as the GMC Sierra pickup and boasts a large chrome false radiator grille surrounded by headlights significantly larger than those used in Chevrolet and Cadillac SUVs. Looking at the side profile, we see that the new Yukon will be slightly higher than the same Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 model year.

Compared to the same Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, the new GMC Yukon will be able to offer its customers a much larger list of equipment with various functions, along with a more premium trim. Of course, the big news for all GM full-size SUVs is the new independent rear suspension. A new diesel engine is also expected.

Not so long ago, we wrote that an enthusiast decided to completely remove the body from the GMC Sierra pickup truck and make a tractor out of the car. One enthusiast who owns a GMC Sierra pickup truck decided that he did not need the entire pickup truck – for his needs, he did not need seats, a dashboard and all body components.
