Updated crossover Jaguar E-Pace first seen on testsNovember 15, 2019
Jaguar began road trials of the updated crossover E-Pace. Photo spies first managed to capture a car during tests in Heydon, Warwickshire. Pictures were uploaded by Autocar. According to sources in the company, the premiere of the news will take place next year.
Judging by the photos, the SUV received a new grille, slightly modified lights and other bumpers. Camouflage can also be observed in the cabin of the crossover, so that the update will undergo the interior of the car.
Perhaps the upgrade will undergo Smart Settings technology, which is also installed on the I-Pace electric car. The system recognizes the individual preferences of the driver and adjusts the vehicle settings in accordance with the received data. The technology is capable of adjusting the climate control system, infotainment system and seat position. Over time, the algorithms will be able to determine the preferences of the driver in different weather conditions, on certain routes or at different times of the day.
Also, the driver now has access to the Adaptive Dynamics system, which improves the handling and maneuverability of the car. The technology is able to analyze the movement of the car every 2 milliseconds and calculates the necessary balancing force 100 times per second in order to respond to changes in the road surface.
The length of the E-Pace reaches 4395 mm, and the wheelbase is 2681 mm. The luggage compartment is 577 liters. Thus, the model is the smallest crossover in the brand line. At the heart of the car is a shortened platform from Land Rover Discovery Sport.
