Updated Bentley Bentayga get features from the expensive Mulliner Bacalar?June 20, 2020
Independent artist Kleber Silva created a render for an updated version of the British crossover Bentley Bentayga. Elements from the expensive Mulliner Bacalar roadster were added to the appearance of the new 2021 model year.
Bentley is in full swing working on an updated version of its luxury crossover Bentayga. The novelty should debut at the end of this year. Rumor has it that the appearance of a prestigious car will hardly be changed.
But what if Bentley designers took a more aggressive approach to creating the look of the updated Bentayga and decided to use the exterior features of the luxurious and extremely exclusive Mulliner Bacalar roadster? It was precisely at this step that the independent artist Kleber Silva decided.
What turned out by the artist as a result cannot be called unconditionally attractive.
In comparison, the Bacalar front bumper looks very stylish thanks to oval headlights and horizontal LED daytime running lights. However, on the crossover, it does not look so stylish.
In addition to the same headlights and DRLs, the depicted Bentayga with an updated faceplate has the same darkened front grille, lower grille and corner air intakes. Moreover, the crossover borrowed from the Bacalar and the hood.
The artist made several changes in the rear of the Bentayga crossover, leaving the bumper and taillights intact. The only change we see is the installation of an additional Bentley badge at the bottom of the tailgate.
According to reports, the current Bentayga engines will be transferred to the updated model. Consequently, the base will continue to be a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 542 hp. (770 Nm). More powerful will be the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 with 600 hp. (900 Nm). In addition, this power plant will be upgraded to 626 hp. for use in the new version of Bentayga Speed. It is expected that the Bentayga 2021 model year will also be sold with a hybrid engine, which will be based on a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6.
