The SUV from the BAIC is a budget analogue of the American Jeep Wrangler.
Chinese automaker BAIC has unveiled an updated version of the SUV Beijing BJ40 Plus. Spy photos of new items today appeared on the Web. At the same time, it was possible not only to capture the exterior, but also to look into the interior of the car. The design of the car is in many ways similar to the legendary American SUV Jeep Wrangler. Compared with the previous version, the car received minor changes in appearance.
The car received a very wide wheel arches and a special off-road body kit. From the interior, we note the large screen of the multimedia system with a “soaring” effect, as well as a red-black trim. Between the front seats is a large and comfortable armrest.
The main novelty was a new power plant – it became a 2.0-liter turbocharged power unit with a return of 230 hp. It works in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission from ZF.
Due to this combination, the motor turned out to be very economical and modern. Among the security systems, we note the all-round cameras, collision avoidance and lane control systems, as well as adaptive cruise control. It is estimated that the cost of the car will be 159,800 – 204,900 yuan
