Updated Alpine A110 will get a more powerful versionJanuary 3, 2019
As the guys from the French company Alpine say, a new version of the A110 will soon be presented. It is known that under the hood of the car will be a modernized 1.8-liter engine. I will note that the “hot” French hatchback Renault Megane RS Trophy of the next generation is also equipped with it.
For those who do not know, Alpine A110 is a sports car, which was developed by engineers of the French company Alpine, which in turn has been owned by the Renault brand since 1978. In October this year, the official presentation of the new version of the sports car will take place. This was told by foreign automotive publications with reference to the company’s representatives.
Under the hood, the long-awaited novelty will be an upgraded version of the 1.8-liter engine, which is equipped with a high-performance version of the 5-door hatchback Renault Megane RS Trophy – this is a new generation model.
The maximum power of this engine will be 300 hp, and the max of the torque is 400 Nm. Thus, the new version of the French sports car will be 48 horsepower more powerful than its predecessor, and the moment will increase by 80 Nm. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed robotized transmission with two clutches will be offered as a transmission.
Our friends insiders report that a version of the Alpine A110 in the body of the convertible will be presented closer to 2020. This car can compete with the Porsche 718 Boxster. I note that the standard version of the French Alpine sports car was shown in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show.
