Updated 2022 Audi S8 spotted in testsJanuary 16, 2021
An updated Audi A8 recently caught in the lenses of spy cameras, and now journalists have filmed a restyled S8 undergoing tests on snow-covered sections of the track. The easily recognizable sedan will receive a minor update that includes a number of front panel tweaks.
The Audi S8 gets a slightly redesigned bumper and a completely different grille with a mesh pattern similar to the S3. The grille is flanked by revised headlights that are recessed around the edges. The camouflage hides other changes, but the model is likely to get new side skirts, an updated rear bumper, and the familiar four-tip exhaust system that is the hallmark of the S8.
Photo spies have not yet managed to capture the interior, but changes are expected to be minor. It is possible that the new product can use an updated infotainment system, as well as a more advanced security system. 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 563 hp and 800 Nm of torque must also be maintained.
In the current model, the power plant is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that transmits torque to the standard all-wheel drive system with a quattro sport rear differential. This setting allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 3.8 seconds and to a top speed of 250 km / h. The refreshed A8 and S8 are expected to be unveiled in late 2021.
