Unveiled the basic equipment of the new Skoda OctaviaJune 26, 2020
Skoda has launched the Octavia base version on the home market.
At the start of sales, which took place at the end of 2019, the new Octavia was available in the Czech Republic in two trim levels – the “medium” Ambition and the rich Style. Now Skoda has expanded the range with the basic version of Active.
Externally, the novelty is distinguished by a set of 16-inch steel wheels with caps. Inside – a classic dashboard with analogue scales and a monochrome screen. Although already a sister Volkswagen Golf has a virtual instrument panel even in the initial version.
In addition, in the cabin you can find a plastic steering wheel without buttons, an ordinary rear-view mirror with manual day / night switching, a niche for small things instead of a central armrest and a portable slot for a smartphone. The interior of the basic Octavia version is devoid of any frills: the decoration is simple, the front passenger seat has lost height adjustment, and a conventional air conditioning is installed in place of the dual-zone climate control.
But in general, the performance of Active for Europe is not so poor: the model is equipped with seven airbags, a Swing multimedia system with an 8-inch screen, Bluetooth, four electric windows, an engine start button, an electromechanical parking brake, LED headlights, cruise control and warning systems about collision and tracking markings.
At home, the base škoda octavia Active with a three-cylinder 1.0 TSI turbo engine with 110 hp and a manual gearbox costs from 494 thousand crowns. The cost of the next Ambition with the same engine starts at 558 thousand crowns.
