Unveiled Geometry C electric hatchback from Geely sub-brandMay 23, 2020
The Geometry brand was created a year ago. Geely planned to produce high-tech and relatively inexpensive electric cars under the new brand. The second model of the subbrand was cross-hatch.
The new Geometry C electric hatchback will enter the Chinese market. This electric car will be the second in a row in the model line of the Geely sub-brand. He will join the brand’s first-born sedan Geometry A. The new electric car is positioned as a crossover, but in reality we have a hatchback with an unpainted plastic body kit around the entire perimeter of the body.
The cross-hatch was based on the GE2.0 platform. In length, Geometry C reaches 4,432 mm with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm, and its width and height are 1,833 and 1,560 mm. Such dimensions make the novelty related to the best-selling Nissan Leaf. Externally, the cross-hatch C is similar to the sedan A. So, for example, they do not have a muffler imitating the radiator.
The hatchback is equipped with LED optics, and its door handles are retractable. It was decided to fix the mirrors on neat legs.
The aerodynamic drag coefficient Cd of the new product is 0.273 – this is higher than that of the sedan (0.2375). From equipment so far only known about adaptive cruise control and all-round cameras. The interior of Geometry C is being kept secret. It is expected that in many ways the interior of the cross-hatch will repeat the interior of the sedan.
Recall, Geometry A receives a 163-horsepower electric motor. The hatchback should be equipped with a more powerful power unit with a return of 204 hp. For him, the manufacturer has prepared two batteries whose capacity is not disclosed. It is only reported that with the base hatchback it will travel up to 400 kilometers without recharging, and with the top one up to 550. Geometry C will enter the home market in July. At a price it will be more expensive than Geometry A. The sedan, taking into account all the subsidies, is estimated at a minimum of 150,000 yuan
