Unique Bruce Willis pickup is on saleNovember 29, 2018
In January, auctions will take place, on which celebrity things will be sold, including a pickup truck commissioned by Bruce Willis.
In January at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction will be sold a special Chevrolet 3100 pickup 1954 release, which for 20 years was owned by actor Bruce Willis. The bids will be held from January 12 till January 20, the initial price of the lot is not announced.
In the early 1990s, Bruce decided to rebuild the car by giving the car a tuning studio. At his request, the pickup was returned to its original appearance, the salon was leather-coated, decorated with expensive varieties of wood and equipped with air-conditioning. The 3.5-liter engine of the car has been refined. It was boosted, equipped with a Holley carburetor, a double exhaust system with new collectors. As a result, the pickup turned into a real mascara.
In November 2014, Bruce Willis sold his unique pickup to a friend from Santa Monica (California, USA), who later resells it to a familiar Canadian resident in Alberta.
The trembling attitude of the actor to the pickup is not accidental. From 1947 to 1955, the Chevrolet 3100 was the best-selling pickup truck in the United States. Gasoline engine V8 in volume of 3.5 liters developed a power of 90 hp. and 235 Nm and was equipped with a 3-speed manual gearbox. For an additional payment it was possible to buy a pickup truck with 4-speed mechanics. In 1954 the pickup was updated. In the list of options an automatic box Hydra-Matic appeared, and the windshield ceased to consist of two halves. Generation after generation, model by model, pickup grew to what is today sold under the name Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
