Ultimate supercar Qiantu K50 will be shown at the New York Auto ShowFebruary 27, 2019
Start of sales of the Chinese supercar is scheduled for next year, so far for the US market.
California-based Mullen Technologies and its Chinese partners from Qiantu Motors have confirmed that the all-electric K50 sports car will be presented at the New York Auto Show (April of this year). Both companies also reported that the car will be sold in the United States from 2020.
The K50 is a 2-door sports car equipped with an all-aluminum body shell with carbon fiber panels. The total weight of the machine is only 281 kg, of which 234 kg are parts of the aluminum construction.
The car is driven by two electric motors, one for each axle. This layout provides all-wheel drive with multiple driving modes. Designers Qiantu K50 say that the total power of this system can reach 280 kW (375 hp) with a torque of 580 Nm. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes only 4.6 seconds, and the maximum speed in electronic form is regulated at 200 km / h.
Under an elegant aluminum frame design, the chassis with a double wishbone with Mira calibrations hides from the front and rear suspension. The creators promise “precise control and feedback from the drivers.” Freezing is provided by the Brembo brake system with four piston calipers, which are hidden behind lightweight forged aluminum alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Performance tires.
The battery and rechargeable energy storage system, developed by Qiantu engineers, provides a power reserve of 370 km.
Not so long ago, we wrote that in Geneva will show a supercar from Ginetta with a maximum speed of 321 km / h.
