Tuning studio has worked well with the 1949 Dodge Power WagonDecember 16, 2018
Not often we see a really cool tuning projects for the modernization of trucks, which were made in the last century. Usually, in such cases we are talking about such famous brands as Ford, Chevrolet or Jeep. But this time, the guys from Legacy Classic Trucks chose a 1949 Dodge Power Wagon pickup.
On the YouTube channel The Hooniverse, a video was published showing the old Dodge, who was given a second chance at life. Unfortunately, this small test drive is entirely in English, but something can still be understood.
The guys from Legacy Classic Trucks plan to sell a pickup truck with a wide range of engine and transmission combinations.
This is a huge truck – it has 40-inch off-road tires, as well as a hefty 4-door cab that was specially made for it. The interior now boasts such modern comforts as air conditioning and heated seats. Despite the innovations, the salon transmits the atmosphere of a 1949 auto. Judging by the video, the revived Dodge Power Wagon is really used as a truck.
The pickup received the Dana 60 front axle, and the Dana 80 is used as the rear axle. Massive off-road tires are mounted on 17-inch wheels. Under the hood of the truck is a 5.9-liter Cummins turbodiesel, whose power is 350 hp (813 Nm of torque). A 4-speed automatic transmission is installed as a transmission.
Well, not so long ago, our automobile publication became aware that the American coupe Dodge Challenger received 1200 hp power.
