Tuners showed Land Rover Discovery in the back of a pickupFebruary 14, 2021
The guys from the Mexican tuning studio presented the legendary Land Rover Discovery in a pickup truck. The novelty turned out to be very interesting – among the innovations it is worth noting a wooden floor in the cargo platform and a powerful engine.
Land Rover is known for producing SUVs in a variety of sizes and applications. Despite its long history and prominence in the production of SUVs, the British automaker has never offered a production pickup.
Tuners from Mexico have made a mid-size pickup from the fourth generation of the Land Rover Discovery SUV.
This Discovery pickup truck was created by the Mexican company VA-K Innovation. The choice of the British Discovery 4 SUV as the basis for the project was evident due to its body-on-frame design. Using a standard frame method using tubular steel to lengthen the frame, these guys completed the SUV’s transformation into a pickup truck, integrating original parts where possible.
The result is quite pleasing as you can see in the photos posted and we never thought the Discovery would look so cool in the back of a pickup. Moreover, the loading platform even received a wooden floor, which added grace to the solid construction. The unique truck is equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 gasoline engine that develops 370 horsepower (510 Nm). Prices for the new truck have not been disclosed, but given how cool it looks, it is unlikely to be cheap.
