Tuning company Duramax Specialties can equip the full-size Chevrolet Suburban / GMC Yukon XL SUV with a powerful diesel engine. In addition, many other improvements can be ordered, in particular the restoration of the SUV frame.
Duramax Specialties has fitted the 2003-2013 Chevrolet Suburban and 2003 GMC Yukon XL full-size SUVs with a diesel engine to significantly enhance their towing capabilities. In addition to replacing the engine, there are many many improvements available.
The tuner uses Duramax LBZ, LMM and LML diesel versions, and is powered by an Allison six-speed automatic transmission.
Duramax Specialties uses GM factory components such as a water pump, belts, coolant bottle and more. Other components from various companies are also used – downpipes from MBRP Inc, a four-inch Flo-Pro aluminum exhaust and a modified propeller shaft with new U-joints.
The atelier can also upgrade the suspension of SUVs. If desired, you will be fitted with new Bilstein lower ball joints, tie rods and shock absorbers. Among other things, the guys from Duramax Specialties are working on the restoration of the SUV’s frame by placing it in an acid bath and repainting it with special paint to prevent rust.
