Tuned Porsche 944 will be sold at auctionSeptember 29, 2020
The redesigned Porsche 944 sports car, powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine from Chevrolet, was put up for auction on Bring A Trailer.
At the time of publication of the material, the rate for the car had reached almost $ 11,000. Bidding will end on October 5. This 1987 Porsche was the first in a series of such cars produced by Widerstandsfaehig. It was shown at the SEMA Show and Hot Wheels Legends 50th Anniversary, and was also scanned for the upcoming video game in the Forza Motorsport series.
The coupe gets a new wide fiberglass body, a pair of tailpipes under the right door and a large wing. The 944 was left without front and rear optics, a sunroof and door handles, and the red body was decorated with vinyl stickers. Wheels are custom 3-section 18-inch wheels.
The car is equipped with a 5.7-liter V8 engine, the exact performance of which is not disclosed – it is only known that on these models it ranges from 280 to 600 hp. The transmission is a 5-speed Porsche manual transmission. It is complemented by a limited slip differential lockable by 40%. In turn, the weight of the car is 981 kg.
The interior of the car was completely dismantled, leaving only one sports bucket seat with a 5-point harness. Behind the steering wheel of the Momo is an LCD screen that functions as an on-board computer and digital instrument cluster.
