Each car that came out from under the wing of RUF Automobile was equipped with a modified engine. And RUF CTR2 is no exception. Under its hood is a boxer six-liter 3.4 liter with two enlarged turbochargers. An upgraded six-speed manual gearbox and Bosch racing ignition system are also available.
The motor of a sports car in 1998 produced 520 hp, but then it was possible to increase it to 580 hp. The maximum speed with such an aggregate reached 350 km / h.
In addition, the masters finalized the wheels (their own tires), the brake system and suspension. The latter was offered already in three versions: comfort, sport and track. The salon was equipped with a safety cage, leather chairs and original dashboard.
The specimen put up for auction has a racing traction control system installed as part of the experiment. The drive is full. According to rumors of such cars in the world there are no more than four units.
