Tuned BMW 745Le xDrive is more powerful than the new M3 CompetitionFebruary 15, 2021
Some parts for the BMW 745Le xDrive are tricky to obtain, but if you want more power, sports suspension and new wheels on a luxury plug-in hybrid sedan, Dahler has a solution.
The Swiss tuner has increased the power of the 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine from 286 hp. and 450 Nm to 408 hp. and 600 Nm of torque. The total system power is now 521 hp. and 865 Nm, compared to 394 hp. and 600 Nm of the production car. The electric motor, which is integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission, remains intact and still develops 113bhp. and 265 Nm.
The tuner-tuned BMW 7-Series hybrid is thus more powerful than the new M3 Competition, which has a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six that produces 503 hp. and 650 Nm.
In addition to tuning the engine, Dahler has also equipped the 745Le xDrive with V-max air suspension and a stainless steel exhaust system to improve sound, as well as a sports suspension that lowers the sedan slightly. However, the latter component is only compatible with models without adaptive air suspension.
As for the wheels, the tuner opted for a classic design for the luxury sedan, albeit a rather large 22 inches. The lightweight rims are part of his CDC1 Forged series and are just one offering, and alternatively a 21-inch kit with a different finish.
