Trump threatened to leave without subsidies to General MotorsNovember 28, 2018
US President Donald Trump threatened General Motors Automotive Corporation (GM) to cut subsidies after his company announced plans to lay off thousands of workers in American factories because of financial problems at the company.
Trump drew attention to the fact that GM plans to close factories in the US states of Ohio, Michigan and Maryland, while factories in Mexico and China remain. In this regard, the American leader announced his intention to cut all subsidies to the corporation.
“The United States has kept General Motors, and this is the gratitude that we get for it!” Wrote Trump.
In his opinion, GM’s bid on the American and Chinese markets will not pay off.
“I have to protect the American workers!” – Trump concluded.
